Compostana
A fully automated, state-of-the-art sorting plant for non-metallic waste in this part of Europe, designed within the CIOS group, operational at the company’s location in Zaprešić, near Zagreb.
The plant enables the separation of different waste fractions, depending on needs, purpose and programming. Exceptional capacities enable the sorting of 10 tons of waste in just one hour.
The plant sorts the material by type and produces clean secondary raw materials, and produces waste-to-energy from the remaining part that is not suitable for further material recovery. The paper waste sorting plant is also fully automated, separating cardboard, leaflets and magazines from mixed waste paper, and processes 14 tons per hour.

Vehicle fleet
The company has its own machinery and vehicle fleet and about a hundred vehicles for various purposes, which enables the successful performance of all types of services – from one-off waste transports to comprehensive waste management solutions for businesses, local government units and utility companies.
It has several different, modern facilities for separating and sorting useful materials. In sorting centers for selectively collected plastic and paper and in its own storage facilities, the collected waste is sorted, processed, compacted and then forwarded for further recovery.
